Transformers: Eternal War Starts Its First Global Weekend

Transformers: Eternal War enters its first global weekend following its release on iOS and Android. Published by Wanda Cinemas Games in partnership with Hasbro, the free-to-play tactical squad RPG features an original narrative written by veteran Transformers comic writer Simon Furman. The story pushes Autobots and Decepticons into a broader conflict involving the Chaos Legion rather than simply repeating the franchise's familiar two-sided war.

Players build five-character squads using Vanguard, Assault, Firepower, Recon and Support roles, with character traits creating additional formation synergies. Away from battles, facilities aboard the Ark can be developed to generate resources and strengthen the player's roster. Eternal War previously underwent regional testing in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the Philippines before moving into worldwide release.

Its opening global period will reveal whether the tactical format and extensive Transformers character catalogue can help it stand out in the extremely crowded licensed character-RPG category.
