Blizzard has expanded Diablo Immortal's Nation of Agony storyline with the Made to Suffer update. Players can push deeper into Lut Gholein and enter the High Ward while collecting a new weekly currency exchangeable for legendary equipment and Sacred Chests. Hero's Journey receives additional progression, the Bloodied Jewel quest becomes replayable and Battleground content gains mechanics linked to the Nephalem theme.
The equipment chase expands through two new gems, including the five-star Enigma Latera and two-star Prong Crag, while normal gems gain a progressive upgrade structure closer to the system already used for legendary gems. New legendary equipment is also available through Twisting Torments. More than four years after launch, Diablo Immortal remains one of the clearest examples of a major PC and console franchise maintaining a separate large-scale mobile live service.
The latest update demonstrates Blizzard's continuing investment in substantial narrative and progression content rather than relying exclusively on recurring seasonal resets.
