EA Sports FC 27 Companion App Arrives on iOS and Android Today

EA's FC 27 Companion App is scheduled to become available for iOS and Android today, following the launch of the FC 27 Web App on September 17. The companion software lets Ultimate Team players manage squads, complete Squad Building Challenges, open packs and interact with the transfer market without launching the full console or PC game. EA deliberately separated the Web App and mobile Companion App launches by roughly a day, helping distribute early demand across its infrastructure.

For committed Ultimate Team users, the companion app has become an important part of the annual FC launch cycle because early trading and squad management can begin before players have extensive access to the main game. It also demonstrates how companion applications remain relevant even as many publishers have abandoned them.
