NCSOFT and Dynamis One's Astrae Oratio has become one of the more conspicuous mobile titles at Tokyo Game Show 2026, with opening-day queues reportedly exceeding an hour for its first public playable build. The supernatural RPG is set in an alternate 1989 Tokyo where magic exists alongside ordinary life. Players take the role of a Shunin working for a government organisation that deals with magical incidents, creating a setting that mixes bureaucracy, urban fantasy and character-driven anime storytelling.

The TGS build is divided between scenario and combat demonstrations, allowing visitors either to sample the opening narrative or concentrate on its battle mechanics. NCSOFT has now confirmed a 2027 launch for iOS and Android, with a PC version following later. More immediately, the company is recruiting players for a forthcoming mobile closed beta, with applications open through September 21.

The combination of a substantial bespoke TGS booth, long queues and an announced mobile-first release order suggests NCSOFT sees Astrae Oratio as an important new global property rather than an experimental side project. The next test should provide a much clearer indication of how the striking presentation translates into longer-term mobile gameplay.
