DAVE THE DIVER Is Now Available Worldwide on iOS and Android

MINTROCKET has officially brought DAVE THE DIVER to smartphones, with the acclaimed adventure and restaurant-management hybrid now available worldwide on iOS and Android. The mobile edition retains the game's unusual two-part structure: players spend their days diving through the Blue Hole, catching fish, gathering resources and uncovering increasingly strange mysteries before returning to the surface to help operate Bancho Sushi at night. This is not a heavily cut-down mobile spin-off.

Popular additional content including the DREDGE content pack and the newer In the Jungle material accompanies the release, while MINTROCKET has made several interface changes specifically for handheld play. One of the more playful additions uses a phone's gyroscope for tea pouring at the restaurant. Players can also choose between three viewing-distance settings, and navigation through the Sea People's Village has been streamlined with faster travel between NPCs.

The arrival is significant for premium mobile gaming because DAVE THE DIVER is exactly the kind of established PC-and-console title that can demonstrate how capable current phones have become. Rather than redesigning the game around mobile monetisation, MINTROCKET has concentrated on adapting the existing experience to a touchscreen.
