Lumi Master Begins Worldwide Mobile Launch With One-Handed Monster Collecting

Bilibili Games has launched Lumi Master globally on Android and iOS, introducing a portrait-format creature-collecting RPG deliberately designed around short mobile sessions and one-handed play. Players explore the fantasy world of Lumia while discovering, capturing and raising creatures called Lumi. Individual monsters can develop into different forms depending on how they are trained, giving the collection system more emphasis than simply filling a catalogue.

Exploration and capturing are controlled with simple taps, while an auto-play system can continue gathering resources and fighting when players want a more passive experience. Lumi Master also includes a Trading House for exchanging items and creatures, an Adventurer Plaza for social interaction, ranking battles and the ability to visit friends' homes. The launch therefore mixes familiar creature-RPG progression with several systems drawn from social and idle mobile games.

Its timing is particularly interesting because creature collection is currently becoming increasingly competitive across mobile, PC and console. Rather than trying to reproduce a large console-style open world, Lumi Master is leaning hard into the circumstances in which people actually use phones: portrait orientation, brief sessions and low-friction controls.
