Doki Doki Literature Club Returns to Android Through Epic Games Store Mobile

Doki Doki Literature Club is available on Android again, this time through Epic Games Store Mobile after the mobile version disappeared from Google Play earlier in 2026. Serenity Forge is making the base game free to play on supported Android phones and tablets through Epic's storefront, while the expanded Doki Doki Literature Club Plus content is available separately as a paid addition. The original remains available on iOS.

On the surface, Doki Doki Literature Club presents itself as a school romance visual novel built around joining a literature club, writing poems and interacting with its characters. Its reputation, however, comes from how dramatically it subverts that setup, gradually turning into psychological horror and manipulating expectations about the structure of a visual novel itself. The Android return is noteworthy beyond the game because it demonstrates the increasingly practical role of third-party mobile storefronts.

A title removed from one major Android marketplace no longer necessarily loses access to Android entirely.
