Hudeodeok Survival Launches With Roguelike Shooting and Base Defence

Joy Games has released Hudeodeok Survival on mobile, following its successful 2024 title with a new mixture of roguelike progression, shooting and tower defence. The game takes place during a zombie apocalypse and stars a duck protagonist who recruits heroes while trying to keep a base intact. Daytime is used for building and upgrades, while nights shift the focus toward defending against incoming hordes.

Players can combine tower placement with direct shooting, awaken skills during battles and choose different development routes as runs progress. Longer-term systems include equipment evolution, hero recruitment and multiplayer guild battles. Joy Games is supporting the release with a particularly generous-looking reward package that includes a limited skin, hundreds of summons, an Epic-grade weapon and in-game currency, alongside additional community-event rewards.

The design reflects an increasingly common mobile trend in which genres are layered rather than kept separate: idle progression, roguelike choices, defence planning and direct action all feed into the same loop. Whether that creates satisfying variety or simply too many progression systems will depend on balancing, but the launch gives mobile players another substantial hybrid to investigate.
