Neverness to Everness Prepares Version 1.4 With New Story and Porsche Vehicles

Perfect World Games is preparing another major update for Neverness to Everness, with version 1.4 scheduled for September 30 across iOS, Android, PC and PlayStation 5. Titled For Whom the Verses Mourn, the update expands the urban open-world RPG with a new main episode, a separate side story, additional characters and a new park-themed location.

One of the more conspicuous additions is a set of Porsche vehicles, extending the game's emphasis on moving through its city in recognisable cars rather than treating transportation as a simple menu function. Multiplayer improvements and broader quality-of-life changes are also part of the release.

Neverness to Everness has always sold itself partly on the density and everyday texture of its city, so additional locations and vehicles potentially matter more here than they would in a conventional menu-driven character RPG. The September 30 update also illustrates how quickly major mobile titles are expected to refresh themselves after launch.

New story chapters may attract returning players, but the more important long-term work is likely to be the less glamorous multiplayer and usability improvements that determine whether people stay.
