Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD Sets September 24 Mobile Launch

Ironhide's tower-defence series is preparing another major mobile release, with Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD scheduled to launch September 24 on iOS, Android and Steam. The new instalment acts as a prequel and turns its attention toward a younger Vez'nan, giving the series room to revisit familiar factions and locations from a different point in its timeline.

Kingdom Rush remains one of mobile gaming's longest-running examples of a genre that genuinely feels native to touchscreens: placing, upgrading and managing towers requires precision but not the virtual-stick compromises associated with action games. That makes a new entry particularly welcome at a time when many high-profile mobile launches are ports of console games or large free-to-play RPGs.

A playable demo has helped build interest ahead of launch, while the simultaneous PC version should make balancing and interface differences easy to compare. For established fans, the prequel framing provides the narrative hook; for newcomers, the September 24 release offers a relatively straightforward strategy game that can be played without learning an enormous live-service economy.
