iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Begin Worldwide Retail Sales

Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are now on sale worldwide following their September unveiling, making the company's new A20 Pro hardware available to mobile gamers and mainstream users alike. The Pro and Pro Max use 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED displays respectively, while the A20 Pro chip and revised thermal design are intended to sustain higher performance for demanding applications. That matters increasingly for games as more publishers bring complete PC and console releases to iOS.

The Pro Max also pushes battery endurance further, an equally important upgrade for gaming because raw peak performance means little if sustained workloads rapidly drain a phone. Both devices ship with iOS 27 and Apple's latest intelligence features. Early demand appears strong, with several configurations already facing extended delivery estimates even though store pickup remains available in some locations.

Apple has effectively spent several generations repositioning the iPhone as a credible high-end gaming device, and this year's hardware continues that strategy through incremental improvements rather than a dedicated gaming-phone design.
