Nexon's Fareidolia is receiving one of its first substantial public tests at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Previously known as Project RX, the Unreal Engine 5 title comes from Nexon Games' IO Division and includes developers with experience on Blue Archive. Its setting combines an apparently peaceful small-town environment with girls possessing supernatural abilities, and Nexon has recreated part of the in-game Tasogare Hall environment at its show booth.

The project is planned for mobile, PC and consoles, giving the developers considerably more technical headroom than a mobile-only production while also creating the challenge of making its interface and performance scale across very different devices. Fareidolia has inevitably attracted comparisons with Blue Archive because of its staff and character-focused presentation, but the more elaborate 3D environments suggest Nexon is aiming for a broader, more immersive experience.

A final release date remains unannounced. TGS is therefore important because hands-on reactions can reveal far more about movement, combat and performance than the carefully controlled trailers shown so far.
