Honor Confirms X9e Pro With an Enormous 11,000mAh Battery

Honor has officially confirmed that the X9e Pro will launch in Malaysia on September 24 with an 11,000mAh battery, pushing the ongoing smartphone battery-capacity race to another remarkable level. The handset will also carry IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection ratings and a 108-megapixel rear camera. Full processor, charging and pricing details remain to be announced, so the battery figure is currently the clearest part of the product's positioning.

Silicon-carbon battery chemistry has allowed manufacturers to increase capacity much faster than physical phone dimensions, and 2026 has consequently produced a wave of devices above the 7,000mAh mark. An 11,000mAh mainstream phone would have looked implausible only a few generations ago. The implications for gaming are obvious: longer sessions and less dependence on power banks.

Capacity alone does not guarantee excellent endurance, however, because display efficiency, chipset behaviour and software optimisation remain important. September 24 will reveal whether Honor has paired the huge battery with specifications capable of making the X9e Pro more than a one-number novelty.
