Scopely is throwing two very different supernatural worlds onto the same Monopoly board. Monopoly Go's new Monster Mash season begins September 23 and runs through November 25, combining Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters with Ghostbusters in one of the game's most ambitious crossover programmes yet. The KPop Demon Hunters portion brings HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys into themed activities, including a Seoul street race, a concert experience and a dedicated shopping area. Music from the property will also feature in-game.

Ghostbusters gets its own set of attractions, including action around the familiar 550 Central Park West setting and a Firehouse-themed challenge involving the Proton Blaster. Monster Mash is not merely a cosmetic takeover, either. Scopely is introducing competitive social activities including a dice duel and a candy-sharing Luck-O-Lantern feature, while the season's Mystery Mansion sticker album contains 25 sets. The collaboration arrives while Monopoly Go remains one of mobile gaming's commercial heavyweights.

Scopely says the title has now exceeded 300 million downloads, while Sensor Tower previously reported that it became the fastest mobile game to reach $6 billion in in-app purchase revenue. Apparently the famous Monopoly board still has room for a few ghosts and K-pop demon hunters.
