BanG Dream! Our Notes launches with five bands and cinematic rhythm storytelling

BanG Dream! Our Notes is now available as a free-to-play mobile game on iOS and Android, expanding Bushiroad's music-driven universe with a new cast structure and a stronger emphasis on cinematic presentation. Five bands sit at the centre of the experience: MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, Mugendai MewType, Millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!, providing a combined roster of 25 members.

The familiar rhythm-game foundation remains, but Our Notes is trying to make the material surrounding the songs feel more like a fully fledged drama. Its Cinematic Story System mixes character-focused scenes with performances and animated presentation, while players can work through both original material and stories connected to the broader BanG Dream! world. Gekiso Live provides another twist by introducing special sections within songs, while real-time multiplayer lets as many as five players perform together.

That combination makes the game immediately recognisable to existing BanG Dream! fans without simply recreating earlier entries. Rhythm games live or die by their music libraries and long-term event support, of course, so launch day is only the opening chord. Still, five bands, 25 characters and multiplayer from day one gives Our Notes plenty to work with as it attempts to establish its own identity inside an already crowded franchise.
