Aniimo mobile pre-download opens ahead of September 23 global launch

Aniimo is almost ready to put a rather substantial creature-collecting adventure in your pocket. Pawprint Studio has opened pre-downloads for the mobile edition through Google Play and Apple's App Store ahead of the September 23 global launch. Players should clear some storage before tapping install: the developer recommends having at least 18GB free and using a stable Wi-Fi connection.

Launch timing varies by server, with the European mobile service opening September 23 at 02:00 UTC, while the American server technically opens late on September 22 in its local time zone. One of Aniimo's most useful features is cross-platform progression. Progress can be shared between supported PC, console and mobile versions as long as players remain on the same server, although data does not transfer between separate servers.

The game itself combines open-world exploration with the discovery and collection of more than 200 creatures known as Aniimo, with forms and rarities influenced by different environments and conditions. PC and console players have already had a few days to explore the world, so the mobile launch marks the point where Aniimo's intended cross-platform ecosystem becomes complete. Just don't begin the adventure with a nearly full phone and discover that your first boss battle is against the storage menu.
