RedMagic 12 Pro+ teaser promises slimmer bezels and a lighter gaming phone

RedMagic has begun revealing the design direction of its next flagship gaming phone, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, ahead of an October launch in China. Today's official teaser campaign focuses less on benchmark chest-beating and more on something gaming phones occasionally forget: people have to hold them. RedMagic says the new model will be lighter than its predecessor, which weighed around 230 grams, while the display bezel has been reduced to just 0.96mm compared with roughly 1.25mm on the previous generation.

The body also adopts more rounded corners, potentially making lengthy landscape gaming sessions a little friendlier on the palms. RedMagic has not yet published the complete specification sheet, and that distinction matters today because Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit has not yet delivered its mobile keynote at the time of this roundup.
