Xiaomi expands global HyperOS 4 beta to more flagship phones

Xiaomi is widening access to the global HyperOS 4 beta, with a second group of flagship-class phones now receiving test builds. The current rollout includes the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra in both global and European Economic Area variants, while the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are receiving EEA beta builds. Access is limited to eligible users already participating in Xiaomi's beta programme, so this is not yet the same thing as a general stable update appearing on every handset.

China's stable HyperOS 4 deployment has already begun for several high-end devices, suggesting the international programme is moving toward its own wider release rather than endlessly adding beta hardware. Operating-system updates can be surprisingly important to mobile gaming because scheduler changes, thermal management, GPU drivers, memory allocation and background-process behaviour can affect performance just as much as visible interface features.

That also means beta software deserves the usual caution: enthusiasts may gain new features early, but unexpected battery drain or app compatibility problems are entirely possible. Xiaomi has not yet published a complete global stable-rollout schedule for every supported model. For gamers using one of the newly added flagships, today's update is therefore interesting less as an invitation to install immediately and more as evidence that HyperOS 4's international release is moving another step closer.
