Com2uS has announced Destiny Child: Assemble, a new mobile RPG intended to revive the world and characters of the original Destiny Child franchise. The announcement coincides with the series' tenth anniversary and introduces a new project being developed by TIKITAKA STUDIO, a subsidiary of Com2uS. The original Destiny Child became particularly well known for its elaborate Live2D character animations, distinctive visual presentation and extensive collection of more than five hundred characters.
Its closure left a dedicated community hoping that the franchise might eventually return. Destiny Child: Assemble will retain the original setting and storyline while introducing additional narrative content and a different gameplay structure. Rather than reproducing the previous title's mechanics exactly, the new game is being developed as an idle RPG with character collection and progression systems. Players will encounter familiar personalities alongside new stories intended to expand the existing universe.
Com2uS has opened a teaser website and released an introductory video featuring imagery associated with the original game. The publisher is targeting a worldwide iOS and Android launch during the first half of 2027. Precise release dates, regional language support and monetisation details remain unannounced. The revival is particularly interesting because it demonstrates that established mobile franchises can retain commercial value even after their original services close.
Apparently some fictional characters simply refuse to remain retired. Destiny Child's cast has apparently decided that ten years is an excellent excuse for another adventure.
