Qookka Entertainment has announced a major new scenario for Three Kingdoms Tactics, introducing additional strategic possibilities to its established mobile historical warfare simulation. The scenario, titled Han Flame Immortal, is scheduled to begin on November 21 in the Japanese service. Its most significant addition is a new Han faction, expanding the available political and military combinations.

Special characters include SP Cao Cao and Lady He, while a new faction-conversion system allows players to experiment with different army compositions. These additions could substantially influence competitive strategies because faction relationships and character combinations play important roles in the game's combat systems. The publisher has also commissioned new promotional artwork and is preparing a short drama titled Questioning Cao, scheduled to begin on November 4.

Additional promotional content includes commentary from a Japanese academic specialising in the history of the Three Kingdoms period. Players can participate in related activities offering opportunities to obtain in-game rewards. Three Kingdoms Tactics is based on Koei Tecmo's historical strategy franchise and focuses on developing territories, recruiting generals and coordinating military campaigns.

The new scenario demonstrates how established strategy games maintain engagement by introducing systems that encourage players to reconsider familiar tactics. Apparently the ancient Chinese military commanders have discovered that history is considerably easier to rewrite when the developer introduces a new faction-conversion button.
