Rhythm-game developer lowiro has announced one of the largest collaborations in Arcaea's history, confirming that an Arknights-themed content pack will arrive on November 17 for iOS and Android. The collaboration introduces eight songs through a dedicated paid pack, alongside a ninth track that will become available separately as free content. Featured music includes Speed of Light by DJ OKAWARI and Ai Ninomiya, ALIVE, Radiant and Operation Spectrum Battle Theme.
The additional free song is Renegade, associated with the character W from Arknights. However, music is only part of the announcement. Arknights character Amiya will join Arcaea as its first motion partner, introducing additional visual animations and opportunities for interaction. Players who acquire the collaboration pack will also unlock a specially written storyline, expanding the connection between the two fictional universes beyond familiar music.
Arcaea is known for its demanding rhythm mechanics, where notes move through both conventional lanes and elevated tracks requiring more elaborate touchscreen movements. Adding Arknights music provides an opportunity to attract players familiar with the tactical RPG while offering existing Arcaea enthusiasts a substantial collection of new charts. The collaboration is scheduled for Version 7.3 rather than being available immediately.
It is another example of the increasingly close relationship between mobile gaming, music and character-focused entertainment. Apparently Arknights players have spent enough time making tactical decisions. Now they can discover whether their fingers are sufficiently coordinated to survive a difficult rhythm chart.
