HoYoverse has provided additional details about Honkai: Nexus Anima, its upcoming creature-collection RPG scheduled for release in spring 2027. Fresh coverage published on November 6 examines the game's final closed beta, which begins November 25 for selected participants across PC, iOS and Android. The project represents a departure from the combat systems associated with established Honkai titles. Players explore environments, collect creatures known as Anima and participate in strategic auto-battler encounters.
The upcoming test expands the playable world with additional locations including a bank, an office building and a lighthouse island. Players will also have access to a recreational vehicle functioning as a personal base, allowing them to create habitats for collected Anima. New creature variations include Chromatic forms and younger Anima. Competitive players can investigate the Nexus Arena, where assembled teams participate in ranked encounters.
HoYoverse has also outlined adjustments to its Event Bond recruitment system. Under the announced arrangements, the first five-star character obtained from the relevant limited recruitment category is guaranteed to be the featured character. Acquiring certain limited characters also provides access to associated Anima companions. Beta participation remains limited, and progress will be reset before commercial launch.
Honkai: Nexus Anima enters a competitive creature-collection market, but its combination of exploration, character development and competitive battles could provide a distinctive alternative. Apparently collecting fictional creatures is becoming an increasingly complicated occupation, particularly when each creature requires accommodation, training and a carefully considered battle strategy.
