The Division Resurgence prepares its next phase as Ubisoft pushes cross-play beyond mobile
Ubisoft’s free-to-play mobile shooter is now also in PC early access, with shared progression and a new Season 1 phase arriving on 12 May.
The Division Resurgence is becoming more than a mobile-only side project. Ubisoft has opened PC early access through Ubisoft Connect while keeping the game free-to-play and fully cross-play, allowing players to carry progression across mobile and PC. That changes the conversation for mobile users because it means the same account can now move between a phone session and a bigger-screen setup.
The next important date is 12 May, when the next phase of Season 1 begins with limited-time events such as Dark Zone and Speed Run challenges, plus new cosmetics and Classified Ops pass rewards. For a mobile looter shooter, this roadmap matters. The genre depends on reasons to return, and cross-progression can reduce the usual split between players who start on mobile but prefer longer sessions elsewhere.
The question now is whether Ubisoft can keep mobile controls, performance and menus feeling good enough next to the PC version.
