Clover Games shutdown day arrives for Lord of Heroes, HEAVENHELLS and Ayakashi Rise
Clover Games’ bankruptcy process reaches players today, with Lord of Heroes, HEAVENHELLS and Ayakashi Rise entering staged service termination.
Today is a rough one for Clover Games players. The company’s bankruptcy-related service termination is now reaching its games, with Lord of Heroes, HEAVENHELLS and Ayakashi Rise affected. The official Lord of Heroes notice says service termination will proceed in stages from 9 May 2026, while earlier industry reporting described the broader shutdown of Clover’s live games following the company’s financial collapse. For mobile players, this is another painful example of how fragile live-service libraries can be.
Lord of Heroes built a following through its character-driven RPG structure and stylish presentation, but even a recognizable game can disappear when the business behind it breaks. The shutdown is not just a technical event. It means communities lose access, purchases lose context and years of progress become memories unless the developer has preservation plans. It is one more reminder that mobile games need better end-of-life handling.
