PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 6 Phase 1 locks in its May return

PUBG Mobile Japan League is gearing up for its next competitive chapter. PMJL Season 6 Phase 1 is scheduled to begin on 22 May and run until 14 June, giving Japan’s PUBG Mobile scene three weeks of organised battle royale drama. The format is set around nine matchdays, with six matches per matchday, while 16 teams will compete for a total prize pool of ¥5,000,000.

That is not the largest prize pool in PUBG Mobile esports, but PMJL still matters because regional leagues are where serious competitive ecosystems either stay alive or quietly fade away. Japan has always had a passionate mobile esports base, and PMJL gives local organisations, players and viewers a structured reason to follow the scene again. For fans, the key question will be whether returning teams can hold off new qualifiers from PMOT 2026 Phase 1.

The names are still to be fully confirmed, but the calendar now gives players and viewers something concrete to track.
