Steam update hints at four Steam Machine models and a reservation system

Valve’s 2026 hardware story keeps getting more interesting. A new Steam client update has reportedly surfaced references to four Steam Machine model numbers and a reservation system, suggesting Valve may be preparing several retail configurations or bundles. The obvious guess is storage and accessory variation, especially because Steam Machine information already points to 512GB and 2TB versions, while the extra entries could relate to bundles with or without Steam Controller hardware.
