Digimon Alysion brings the card battle back to phones in 2026
Bandai Namco’s Digimon Alysion is planned for iOS and Android in 2026, with online card battles, story content and links to the wider Digimon Card Game universe.
Digimon Alysion is officially one to watch for card-game fans on mobile. Bandai Namco’s upcoming free-to-play title is based on the physical Digimon Card Game and is planned for iOS and Android in 2026. The pitch includes online battles, deck-building, animated evolutions, original cards, new Digimon, new characters and a story set in the same universe as the Digimon Liberator web manga. That gives the project a stronger foundation than a simple digital companion app.
If Alysion can translate the physical card game’s strategy without overwhelming mobile users, it could become a proper digital home for Digimon TCG players. The big mobile challenge will be pacing. Card games on phones need fast onboarding, readable card text, good matchmaking and enough free progression to avoid feeling like a paywall dressed as nostalgia.
