Crawl Tactics lines up tomorrow’s premium tactical roguelike mobile launch
icefill’s tactical roguelike is arriving on Android and iOS on 13 May, with pre-registration live and a premium $9.99 mobile release planned.
Crawl Tactics is not launching today, but it is close enough to earn a 12 May watchlist slot. icefill’s turn-based tactical roguelike arrives on Android and iOS on 13 May, bringing a PC strategy cult favourite to mobile with a premium $9.99 price. The game blends grid-based SRPG combat with roguelike dungeon progression, environmental interactions, town building, mercenary training and 8-unit party battles.
That is exactly the sort of thing mobile needs more of: a proper premium strategy game that does not immediately bury itself under energy timers and gacha pulls. The challenge is usability. Deep tactical games can suffer on phones if the UI blocks too much of the battlefield or requires tiny taps. If Crawl Tactics has been properly adapted for touch controls, this could be a strong release for players who miss Final Fantasy Tactics-style planning on mobile.
