Lenovo Legion Y70 benchmark leak gives gaming-phone fans a clearer pre-launch picture

Lenovo’s Legion Y70 is looking more concrete ahead of its 19 May China launch. Benchmark reporting points to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, 16GB of RAM and Android 16, while earlier official-style teasers and reports describe a 6.82-inch 2K 144Hz OLED display, an 8,000mAh battery, 90W charging, LPDDR5X Ultra memory, UFS 4.1 storage and a large vapor-chamber cooling setup.

That is exactly the spec recipe a gaming phone needs in 2026: fast silicon, a high-refresh screen, serious battery life and enough cooling to hold performance after the benchmark glow fades. The open question is positioning. Lenovo has been away from Legion phones for a while, so the Y70 has to prove it is not just a spec sheet comeback. Sustained frame rates, thermal control and real game compatibility will matter more than launch-day numbers.
