COD Mobile Zombies fans get the answer they did not want

The first Inside CODM episode had good Battle Royale news, but Zombies fans got a colder answer. Call of Duty: Mobile’s team confirmed that there are currently no major updates planned for the core Zombies mode. Zombies will still appear in seasonal moments such as Halloween, but big expansions or major mode work are not part of the current focus. That will sting for a loyal part of the player base.

COD Mobile’s Zombies community has always been smaller than Multiplayer and Battle Royale, but it is also loud, nostalgic and persistent. The problem is circular: the mode does not get many updates because fewer players spend time there, but fewer players spend time there because it has not received enough updates to feel essential. For now, CODM’s live-service priority is clear. Battle Royale and Multiplayer remain the engines.
