Call of Duty: Mobile finally confirms a new big Battle Royale map is in development

Call of Duty: Mobile players finally have confirmation on one of the community’s longest-running requests: a new large Battle Royale map is in development. The news came through the first Inside CODM developer discussion, where Jeff Gullett confirmed that a new big BR map is being worked on and that more details should arrive around the anniversary season later this year. Gulag is also returning after strong community feedback.

This matters because COD Mobile’s Battle Royale side has leaned on Isolated and Blackout for years, while newer updates have mostly focused on mechanics, limited events or smaller map experiences. A new large map could refresh rotations, landing strategies and long-term interest in BR. The timeline is still vague, so this is not a launch announcement yet, but it is the clearest signal in a while that CODM’s biggest mode is getting fresh terrain.
