Clash Royale prepares to tear out XP and rebuild progression around Collection Levels
Supercell’s May update will remove King’s Journey and XP, replacing them with Collection Levels, revised Masteries and easier-to-track rewards.
Clash Royale is preparing one of its biggest progression cleanups in years. Supercell’s May 26 update will remove King’s Journey and XP, replacing the old account progression structure with Collection Levels. The idea is simple: your overall progress should come from the cards, Evolutions and Hero forms you actually unlock and upgrade. That is much easier for players to understand than a messy XP system where different actions pushed account progress in different ways.
Mastery tasks are also being reworked, rewards are being adjusted and King Tower progress will move to new requirements without lowering existing players’ tower levels. This is not as flashy as a new card, but it may be more important. Clash Royale has years of layered systems sitting on top of each other, and mobile players can easily bounce off when progression feels confusing. Collection Levels should make the climb cleaner.
