Forza Horizon 6 early access begins today, and Steam Deck players are officially invited

Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition early access begins on 15 May, with Microsoft also confirming Steam Deck Verified status and broader PC handheld optimization.

Forza Horizon 6 is not a mobile game, but today it is very much handheld hardware news. Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade early access begins on 15 May, and Forza has already confirmed that the game is Steam Deck Verified and optimized for PC handhelds including the ROG Ally and Ally X. That matters because open-world racers are not always comfortable on handhelds. Small-screen UI, battery draw, storage size and frame pacing can turn a great PC game into a rough portable experience.

Forza getting Verified status before launch sends the opposite message: Japan is meant to travel. Cloud Gaming support begins with the standard launch on 19 May, so today’s portable angle is mainly Steam Deck and handheld PC players who paid for early access.
