Project RX grows beyond mobile as Nexon confirms console versions too

Project RX just became a bigger project than many players expected. Nexon has confirmed through its Q1 2026 earnings materials that the anime-style RPG is now planned for consoles alongside its already known PC and mobile versions. That changes the framing. Instead of looking like a mobile-first subculture RPG with a PC companion, Project RX now appears to be a broader cross-platform bet.

The game is being developed by Nexon Games’ IO Division, the group associated with Blue Archive, and is built in Unreal Engine 5. Early teasers have leaned into a cozy isekai-style world with slice-of-life character moments, but also hinted at fantasy action and combat. For mobile players, the console expansion is a good sign if it means stronger production values. The risk is that the mobile version must still feel natural on touchscreens rather than like a compromise.
