Sea of Remnants opens Dawn Test recruitment as NetEase targets Q3 China release

Sea of Remnants is moving from pretty trailer curiosity to a more concrete release plan. NetEase has opened Dawn Test recruitment in China and is now targeting a Q3 2026 regional launch window. The global timeline remains unconfirmed, so international players should not treat this as a worldwide date yet. The appeal is obvious, though: Sea of Remnants mixes pirate cities, strange islands, ocean exploration, ship customization, turn-based combat and a comic-book-inspired visual style.

The promise of more than 300 recruitable puppetfolk also gives it a big collection hook without looking like a standard anime gacha template. For mobile players, this could become one of NetEase’s more visually distinct RPGs if the sailing, exploration and character systems all work together rather than feeling like separate menus.
