Pokémon GO brings Deino back for Community Day Classic

Pokémon GO players have a very good reason to go outside today: Deino Community Day Classic. The event runs on 16 May from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, with Deino appearing more frequently in the wild and an increased chance to find Shiny Deino. The big gameplay hook is Hydreigon with Brutal Swing. Evolve Zweilous during the event window, or up to 9 p.m. local time, and Hydreigon learns the featured Charged Attack.

Event bonuses include 3x Catch XP, longer Incense and Lure Module duration, snapshot surprises and themed Field Research. Niantic is also extending Deino appearances around regular Lure Modules until 9 p.m., which gives players more chances even after the core three-hour window ends. For newer trainers who missed the original Deino Community Day, this is one of May’s most practical catch-up events.
