Candy Crush is the comfort snack of mobile gaming: sweet, simple, and slightly dangerous if you’re trying to be productive. The match-3 formula is solid, the levels are plentiful, and the little “combo explosions” are reliably satisfying. But the longer you play, the more you’ll notice the game’s favorite hobby: gently nudging you toward boosters when a level turns into a brick wall wearing a smile.
Graphics are bright and friendly, sound is sugary, gameplay is straightforward, and fun is real—until RNG decides today you will suffer. Still, if you want a low-effort puzzle fix, this is the genre’s biggest (and loudest) mascot.
