Dead Cells is what you get when a platformer drinks three energy drinks and decides pain is a love language. It’s fast, responsive, and brutally fair: when you die, you know exactly why (usually because you got cocky and tried to style on an archer). On mobile, it’s surprisingly solid—especially with a controller—though touch controls can feel like trying to play drums with oven mitts during the toughest moments.

The combat is crisp, the build variety is wild, and every run tells a new story of heroism, tragedy, and “I rolled into spikes again.” If you like skill-based action and learning through suffering, welcome home.
