Samsung uses IFA to make Galaxy devices part of a larger AI home

Samsung's IFA 2026 strategy places mobile hardware inside a much larger connected ecosystem. Its Samsung CONNECT showcase linked Galaxy phones with televisions, computers, displays and appliances through AI-driven services rather than presenting each category independently. The Galaxy S26 FE, which launches with One UI 9 and a broad selection of Galaxy AI capabilities, plays a major role in that strategy by taking flagship-style software experiences to a wider price tier. Samsung's advantage is breadth.

Few competitors sell smartphones, televisions, appliances, displays and computers at comparable scale, giving the company opportunities to create cross-device functionality that specialist phone manufacturers cannot easily reproduce. The risk is complexity: ecosystem benefits only matter when connections happen reliably without forcing users through layers of accounts and setup menus.

IFA demonstrated Samsung's belief that the smartphone's next competitive advantage may come less from faster processors and more from how naturally it coordinates with everything else in the home.
