Commodore returns with a retro anti-doomscrolling flip phone
The revived Commodore brand is moving into phones with the Callback 8020, a Sailfish OS flip phone designed to block social media and web browsing.
Commodore is back, and somehow the plot twist is a flip phone. The Callback 8020 is a retro-styled, de-Googled device designed to block doomscrolling while keeping calls, messages, music and photography. It is not a gaming handheld, but for retro tech fans this is spicy nostalgia hardware. Also, somewhere a C64 fan just whispered, ‘Finally, a phone my childhood can understand.
