NetEase Games has launched the second Naruto Shippuden collaboration in Knives Out, introducing supernatural abilities, themed vehicles and additional costumes to its established mobile battle royale. The event runs from October 31 through November 14 and places particular emphasis on Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha. Sasuke-inspired items include an aircraft, SUV, weapons and costumes featuring designs associated with Susanoo.
Itachi receives a special electric sedan equipped with Tsukuyomi, an ability capable of temporarily disrupting enemy vehicle handling and interfering with the minimap. Apparently conventional driving skills are no longer sufficient when somebody can attack your dashboard using supernatural eye techniques. The collaboration introduces additional items inspired by Might Guy, Obito, Madara and other familiar Naruto characters.
Players can also participate in promotional activities providing opportunities to obtain up to one hundred free recruitment attempts and selected high-rarity costumes. These rewards depend on completing the relevant objectives rather than simply logging in once. The event includes returning content from the previous Naruto crossover, giving established players another opportunity to obtain selected items.
Crossovers of this scale demonstrate how mobile battle royale games increasingly rely on entertainment franchises to maintain engagement. However, the abundance of limited-time rewards also requires players to consider how much effort or spending they are prepared to invest. Apparently ninja training has become considerably easier. Instead of spending years mastering secret techniques, players can now acquire an electric sedan and immediately become everybody else's problem.
