Niantic Spatial says Pokémon Go player data is not being used to train military drones, after questions around location and AR scan data exploded online. The company says voluntary scans helped train AI models but that Vantor does not access the underlying data. So yes, catching Pikachu somehow became a discussion about geospatial AI. Mobile gaming is normal. Very normal.
