Galaxy Z Fold8 family approaches August 7 launch

Samsung’s new foldables are heading toward their August 7 release. The shorter, wider Galaxy Z Fold8 begins at $1,899, while the Fold8 Ultra starts at $2,099 and adds a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Neither is marketed purely as a gaming phone, but their large inner displays and flagship Snapdragon processors make them unusually capable portable game screens. They also cost enough that every frame should arrive wearing formal clothing.
