Qualcomm chipset increases threaten handheld pricing

Qualcomm's planned chipset increases are placing additional pressure on portable hardware manufacturers. Retroid, Ayaneo and other Android-handheld brands must either accept smaller margins or pass the cost to buyers. The affordable-handheld category is becoming noticeably less committed to the word affordable.
