Absolum mobile pre-registration builds ahead of November 5 release

Playdigious continues to build momentum for the mobile edition of Absolum after confirming a November 5 release on iOS and Android. The roguelite beat-'em-up originally launched on consoles and PC and combines traditional side-scrolling combat with run-based upgrades and replayability. Mobile players will receive touchscreen controls alongside controller support, while Android pre-registration and iOS pre-orders are already available.

The most important part of the release strategy is that Absolum remains a premium game rather than being restructured around energy timers, advertising or recurring gacha purchases. That makes it part of a growing premium-mobile trend alongside Feral Interactive's recent console conversions. Powerful modern phones increasingly have the graphics performance and controller support required to handle these experiences, and publishers are beginning to treat smartphones as legitimate portable gaming systems again.
