Petit Planet approaches the final days of Final Beta recruitment

HoYoverse is nearing the close of recruitment for Petit Planet's next major beta, with applications scheduled to end September 14 before testing begins later in the month. The project represents a major departure from the company's combat-focused hits such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. Petit Planet instead emphasises life simulation, decorating, exploration and social interaction inside a colourful miniature world.

This style of game has strong natural compatibility with smartphones because farming, crafting, decorating and character interactions can be divided into short recurring sessions. HoYoverse already possesses sophisticated cross-platform account and live-service infrastructure, so the more interesting question is whether the studio can create a similarly durable audience without depending on combat-heavy progression.

The forthcoming beta should reveal more about long-term goals, social systems and how aggressively the game encourages daily interaction.
