Apple opens iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders today

Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max enter pre-order today, September 11, following their unveiling earlier this week. The phones are powered by Apple's new A20 Pro processor and introduce a 48-megapixel main camera with variable aperture, redesigned thermal management and substantial battery improvements. Apple says the A20 Pro delivers major increases in graphics and AI performance while using a new 2nm manufacturing process.

The Pro models begin at $1,199 and $1,299 respectively, with retail availability scheduled for September 18. The timing makes today one of the first real-world tests of demand for Apple's latest flagship generation, especially after attention at the launch event was dominated by the foldable iPhone Duo. Despite the excitement around the foldable, the conventional Pro models will remain far more important to Apple's overall sales volume.
