Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 settles into its first weekend

Call of Duty: Mobile's Season 8, Against All Fate, is now fully into its first weekend, with its Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration giving the long-running shooter an unusually broad range of activities. The crossover extends beyond cosmetics through a three-player top-down roguelike mode built around enemy waves, random upgrades and character-enhancing systems. Honkai-themed elements also appear within Battle Royale, while the season introduces additional weapons and progression rewards.

The scale of the collaboration illustrates why Call of Duty: Mobile remains competitive after years on the market. Rather than relying solely on new maps or weapon balance, Activision can temporarily bend the game's rules and borrow mechanics from entirely different genres.
