Fantasy Life i prepares new Celestial Express DLC after successful mobile expansion

LEVEL-5 has announced The Celestial Express, paid downloadable content for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The news follows the game's expansion onto iOS and Android, where the full RPG is available as a premium purchase rather than a simplified free-to-play edition. Fantasy Life combines life-simulation professions with exploration, crafting and combat, giving it a structure well suited to both lengthy sessions and shorter portable play.

Announcing substantial paid DLC also reinforces the idea that smartphones can participate in the same post-launch content model as consoles and PC rather than receiving a stripped-down product. For publishers, that potentially creates an additional revenue stream without redesigning the economy around gacha mechanics. For players, the advantage is a more conventional ownership model.

LEVEL-5 has not abandoned dedicated gaming hardware, but Fantasy Life i shows the company increasingly treating mobile as an equal commercial platform for selected titles.
