Satellite connectivity continues moving from emergency feature toward normal smartphone networking

For mobile games, satellite latency means it will not replace 5G or Wi-Fi for fast competitive play, but it can keep accounts, messaging and slower asynchronous services connected far outside traditional coverage. The broader ecosystem is steadily moving toward phones that dynamically combine several network types instead of relying on a single terrestrial connection.
